“A parte de tirar con fuerza hay que lanzarla con precisión y encajarla entre el muro de contención y el muro del castillo. La primera vez mi lanzamiento fue nulo”.
La rabiosa sirve para denominar a la azada, al parecer, por la furia que les produce trabajar con ella a los agricultores, y su lanzamiento final. Tiene un peso de kilo y medio, veinticinco centímetros de corte de metal y un mango de madera de setenta centímetros.
El 27 de agosto los fosos del Castillo de Marcilla acogen el curioso Campeonato Mundial de Lanzamiento de Rabiosa. El record está por encima de los 37 metros. El campeonato de "rabiosa", organizado por la peña marcillesa El Estoque desde 1987 y por la de los Rebeldes a partir de 2003 y por la peña de chicas "Las Kolgadas". Una curiosa cita agro-deportivo-festiva, con una media de cien participantes, abierta a todo el público.
“Indarra eta zehaztasun handia behar dira jaurtiketan, eustormaren eta gazteluko hormaren artean sartu behar baita. Nire lehenengo jaurtiketa baliogabea izan zen”.
Rabiosa esaten zaio aitzurrari, antza denez, nekazariei harekin lan egiteak eragiten dien amorruagatik, eta azken jaurtiketari. Kilo eta erdiko pisua du, 25 zentimetroko metalezko ahoa eta 70 zentimetroko egurrezko kirtena.
Abuztuaren 27an Martzillako lubanarroek Munduko Rabiosa Jaurtiketa Lehiaketa bitxia hartzen dute. Errekorra 37 metrotik gora dago. “Rabiosa” lehiaketa Martzillako El Estoque peñak antolatu zuen 1987tik aurrera, Los Rebeldes peñak eta Las Kolgadas nesken peñak 2003tik aurrera. Nekazaritza, kirola eta jai-giroa barne hartzen dituen hitzordu bitxi honetan, ehun lagunek hartzen dute parte batez beste, eta publiko orokorrari irekita dago.

Rabiosa, Spanish for “furious,” is a nickname for the hoe, apparently because farmers are furious when they must use it. It is also the name of the throwing itself. It weighs 1.5 kilos, with a 25-centimetre metal sheet and a 70-centimetre wooden handle.
Each August 27 the Marcilla Castle’s moats become the arena for the odd Rabiosa Throw World Championship. The standing record is 37.60 metres. The “rabiosa” competition has been organised by Marcilla’s club El Estoque since 1987 and by the Rebeldes club since 2003, with the participation of the women’s club "Las Kolgadas." It is an unusual mix of agriculture, sport, and festival, with an average of a hundred participants, open to whoever wants to take part.
